Port Royal –

Lelands.com has announced an Open Wheel Madness Bonus for this Saturday’s 410 sprint and URC sprint car program at Port Royal Speedway.

If one driver can sweep both main events worth $5,000 and $2,000 respectively, Lelands.com will pay that driver an extra $1,000 for his winning efforts.

That means one driver could walk away from the track on Saturday with $8,000 should he sweep the sprint car mains.

In order to see a sprint car race in the northeast this Saturday, all roads have to lead to Port Royal Speedway for the early evening Open Wheel Madness program of 410 sprints and URC 360/358 sprint cars.

Port Royal Speedway is the only place to see a sprint car race in the region spanning several states on Saturday.

Gates open at 3 pm with racing slated for 5. Warm ups will start at 4:30.

The 410 sprints will race for $5,000 to win and $350 to start a 25-lap feature in the Open Wheel Madness outlaws tune up event, run using the current outlaws format in preparation for next Saturday’s season finale featuring the World of Outlaws sprint cars.

The URC show will be the only appearance of the season by the circuit at Port Royal and the first since 2013.

Drivers Greg Hodnett and Aaron Ott have already expressed their intent to race in both sprint car divisions at the show, thus making them eligible for the Lelands.com bonus.

For 410 sprint competition, Pittsburgh flyer Danny Holtgraver has announced his plans to be on hand for the event with interest from other outside drivers being expressed as well.

Fans coming to the event can expect what is hoped to be a fast-paced show with continuous racing from start to finish.

Management’s goal is to have the entire show completed by 8 pm.

A weekend-long craft, food and flea market fall festival known as Port Royal Foliage Days will be in full swing around the oval on Saturday for fans to attend prior to the big racing event.

Admission to Foliage Days is free with adult grandstand general admission set at just $20 for the sprint doubleheader and students ages 12 – 18 priced at $7.
