– OWASSO, Okla. (Feb. 19, 2016) – TBJ Promotions has bumped up its first event of the 2016 season.
The 8th annual Eagle Motorsports Rock ‘N Roll 50 Presented by MyRacePass will now be contested on Saturday, April 2, at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.
“There are a lot of big races in the area in late April and early May so we decided to move the date forward to give the fans the best opportunity to catch this event,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce Jr. said.
The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour will be the featured class, showcasing a 50-lap main event, with 305ci winged sprint cars serving as the support class.
“We’re also going to have a special purse for the 305s, which we’re still working on,” Bruce Jr. said. “It will be an all sprint car show, just two classes and just sprint cars.”
Arkansas native Tim Crawley and ASCS National Tour contender Seth Bergman each have won the prestigious event twice with fellow Arkansas resident Derek Hagar also recording a trip to Victory Lane. Bruce Jr. has claimed a preliminary win and the event has rained out twice.
