Dominating much of the 2015 season at the Placerville Speedway, Greg DeCaires and his Dale Miller Motorsports team debuted a new chassis on Saturday night and found the same success as DeCaires captured the season opening event.

“I was a little nervous it would take us some time to mirror the success in this EMI Chassis that we had in our A.R.T. Chassis,” Greg DeCaires said. “Fortunately that was not the case and we were able to grab a win.

Timing the Dale Miller Plumbing and Septic/Thompson’s Auto Center/RedHawk Casino No. 4SA entry in 12th fastest, DeCaires was able to take advantage of his starting position and muscle his way to a heat race win.

Fighting some opening night gremlins under the hood of his machine, DeCaires would grid the field from the fourth spot, and all seem well as the green flag waived.

Chasing after the lead duo of Michael Kofoind and Justyn Cox, DeCaires would work into the second spot before taking command of the 25-lap feature event on the ninth lap. With a couple of yellows bunching the field back up, DeCaires was able to fend off challenges from Justyn Cox and Justin Sanders aboard his NAAKE Suspension/A.R.T Speed Equipment/King Racing Products backed entry.

Hitting his marks on the immaculately prepared quarter mile, DeCaires would find himself back in victory lane at the Placerville Speedway, just as he has done so many times over the course of his career.

“It was a great opening night,” DeCaires added. “It was great to see some new life at the track, and it was great for this race team to come out and get a win during our first night of action.”

Greg DeCaires and the Dale Miller Motorsports team would like to thank Dale Miller Plumbing and Septic, Thompson’s Auto Center, RedHawk Casino, NAAKE Suspension, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Gary Morgan Graphics, Joe Hunt Magnetos, Smith Precision Products, MotoWear, Frank’s Auto Body Shop, and Wesmar Racing Engines for their support.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts- 1, Wins- 1, Top-5’s-1, Top-10’s-1

ON TAP: DeCaires and the Miller Motorsports team will be back at the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night for another night of championship point racing.
