Mason Moore and his F&F Racing Team had a great night at the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night that saw the Princeton, CA driver pick up his first win of the 2016 season.

“It was a great night on Saturday with the F&F Racing team,’ Moore said. “We put ourselves in a great spot all night, and when the weird night came to an end, we were standing on the front stretch.”

Timing the Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office/Moore Insurance Services No. x1 machine in sixth fastest in qualifying time trials, Moore would then finish second in his heat race putting him in the all important nightly redraw.

Finding himself with the two-pill, Moore would line up on the front row of the 25-lap feature event. When the green flag waived on the feature, Moore was hard on the throttle as he jumped out into the early lead.

Out in front, Moore would drive a masterful race on a track that had built up a thick cushion all the way around the speedway. With the likes of Matt Peterson and Logan Seavey knocking at the door during the race, Moore would have none of it as he fended off all advances and claimed his first win of the 2016 season.

Friday night, Moore was also in action at the Silver Dollar Speedway aboard his Mason Moore Racing No. 22 machine.

Timing the Coors Light/LRB Race Products/NAAKE Suspension backed entry in third fastest, Moore would battle a brake issue during his heat race though would still manage to finish in the fourth spot.

Going to work in the pit area, Moore’s team worked feverishly to rectify the brake situation, but unfortunately they could not get brakes on Moore’s machine even after putting a new system in.

With faulty brakes, Moore would opt to take the green flag in the feature event and pull his machine back to his trailer and call it an early night.

“It was an up and down weekend, but it was really cool to win with the F&F Racing team,” Moore said. “We had really good speed all night, and we are off to a nice start at Placerville. Friday night we had really good speed too, but something went haywire with our brakes and it made sense to park the car rather than risk tearing ourselves or somebody else up.”

Moore would like to thank Coors Light, Econo Lube and Tune, Geico Local Office, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.

ON TAP: Moore will return to the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night before heading back to the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.
