(Lebanon, IN)  The UAW American Made Mel Kenyon Midget Series will make its first visit of the season to US 24 Speedway this Saturday.  The 1/8th mile semi-banked dirt bullring always presents a challenge for competitors.  In 2015 Kyle O’Gara, Dameron Taylor and Kent Kriegbaum all claimed victory at the Logansport, IN track.

O’Gara’s path to four wins came on the topside, using the cushion while Taylor and Kriegbaum worked the bottom side. Ashlea Albertson figured in each of the series US 24 events in 2015 notching several runner up finishes.   Albertson is recovering form an accident at Columbus Motor Speedway on April 23 and will not make the call for this race.

Another driver to watch is Clayton Gaines.  He always thrills at US 24, nipping O’Gara at the finish line by 0.003 second in a 2015 heat race.  Rookies Cole Christy and Will Edwards, making their first start on dirt in a Kenyon Midget, will add to the variables the drivers will face in the 10-lap heat races and 30-lap feature event.

US 24 Speedway is located 5 mile west of Logansport on highway US 24.  Practice will begin at 6 with racing to follow at 7:30.
