WINDOM, Minn. (May 11, 2016) – The National Sprint League is thinking outside the box for its next event.

Not only will the Folkens Brothers Trucking Spring Nationals pay $10,000 to win, the event on Friday, May 20, at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., will start 30 cars in the Spirit Lake Silver & Gold NSL 410 Sprint Cars feature.

NSL National Sprint League Top Story

“Most tracks run 24 cars on a quarter mile so we thought we’d try 30,” National Sprint League Competition Director Chuck Zitterich said. “Jackson Motorplex is a bigger track and we wanted to create more excitement so we decided to take 30 drivers to the A Main.”

The marquee event will be showcased at the all-new Jackson Motorplex, which was recently renovated to offer brand new suites and premier seating at the half-mile oval. Support classes include the Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars featuring the GoMuddy.com National Sprint League 360 Tri-State Region and the Liquid Nitro RaceSaver 305 sprints.

“Everyone at Jackson Motorplex has been working extremely hard in preparation for the season-opening Folkens Brothers Trucking Spring Nationals,” Jackson Motorplex General Manager Doug Johnson said. “We’re excited to have an all sprint car event kick off the season and to have 30 sprint cars start the Spirit Lake Silver & Gold NSL 410 Sprint Cars main event. That will certainly be cool to see.”

For fans unable to attend the race Speed Shift TV is offering live Pay-Per-View video at http://www.SpeedShiftTV.com.

The National Sprint League has one event in the books as Terry McCarl dominated the Dirt Classic I-80 last Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. McCarl holds a seven-point lead in the championship standings over Brian Brown with Craig Dollansky in third, defending series champion Danny Lasoski fourth and Dale Blaney rounding out the top five.
