(July 6, 2016) – Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway’s 21st season of racing continues this Friday, July 8 when O’Neil’s Farm Equipment Case IH presents the second annual Frankie Turkey Memorial Night.
Frankie Turkey Memorial Night honours track owner Glenn Styres’ uncle, who passed away following a car accident at just 27 years of age. Frankie introduced Glenn to auto racing at a young age, and remains an inspiration for many parts of Glenn’s business – including the track’s trademark orange.
Pinty’s Delicious Foods will be awarding all A-Feature winners and one lucky fan with a one year supply of Pinty’s wings this Friday! Pinty’s will have their display set up behind the main grandstand, so make sure to stop by.
Cayden Lapcevich will be signing autographs this Friday, and have his Ohsweken Speedway-sponsored #76 NASCAR Pinty’s Series car on display. Fans are invited to come out and see the car, which came straight from the race track!
An average of 119 drivers have signed in for each of the first seven rounds of Ohsweken’s 2016 season. Racing will take the green flag at 7:30pm this Friday, July 8. Visit the official Ohsweken Speedway website at www.OhswekenSpeedway.com for ticket prices and more information.

Founded in 1996, Ohsweken Speedway is a motorsports complex which includes a 3/8 (0.375) mile clay oval track. The facility is owned by the Styres family, and located in the village of Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada. Ohsweken’s weekly Friday night racing program runs from May to September each year, featuring 360 Sprint Cars, Crate Sprint Cars, Thunder Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Bombers, while the season finishes each year with the annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.
