McCarl Suspended for Two Race Weekends at Badlands Motor Speedway

BRANDON, S.D. (August 1, 2016) — Badlands Motor Speeedway announced on Sunday that Terry McCarl has been suspended for two race weekends following what the track described as an unsportsmanlike conduct incident on Saturday.

In a press release on Sunday Badlands announced that McCarl has violated rules 2.13.1 involving sportsmanship.

2.13 SPORTSMANSHIP
2.13.1 First Infraction — First occurrence no points no pay 1-week minimum suspension with possibly additional suspension to be determined by official(s).

BRANDON, SD, Sunday, July 31, 2016 —410 Outlaw Sprint Car driver Terry McCarl has been suspended for two race weekends at Badlands Motor Speedway following an unsportsmanlike conduct infraction on Saturday, July 30.
The rule in violation in the BMS Operations Manual reads as follows:

The suspension covered the events schedule on August 6-7 and the upcoming Rock N Roll Gold Cup, the track’s biggest race of the season at Badlands. Badlands officials indicated McCarl would be refunded his entry fee for the event.
