CONCORD, N.C. – Aug. 9, 2016 – After months of negotiations, the World of Outlaws and Badlands Motor Speedway have failed to reach an agreement on the sanction and operation of the Rock N’ Roll Gold Cup, scheduled for August 19 to 21, 2016.

The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series and its full-time touring teams will not be participating in the event.

“We wish Badlands Motor Speedway the best of luck with the Rock N’ Roll Gold Cup,” said World Racing Group CEO Brian Carter. “Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement that met the needs of the series, its partners and competitors to compete in the event.”

Announcements on replacement events for the weekend of August 19 to 21 will be forthcoming.
