TULSA, Okla. (August 31, 2016) — Adding to the list of Labor Day events across the ASCS Nation, the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps returns to the high-banked Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo on Saturday, September 3.

Topped by Jonathan Cornell in the series last visit on July 16 after the event was postponed from Independence Day Weekend by the weather, the current Warrior Region point’s leader carries a 158 point advantage into the weekend despite having to miss events at the St. François County Raceway as the No. 28 was without a bullet.

With five wins, to go along with 10 podium appearances in 2016, Cornell has 30 career wins in ASCS Warrior Region action and is third all-time to Randy Martin (46) and Brian Brown (45). Giving chase to Cornell is Evan Martin who finished eighth in the series last visit to RCR. Still in search of his first win of the 2016 season, Martin’s lone ASCS Warrior Region victory came on May 26, 2012 at LA Raceway in LaMonte, Mo.

Danny Thoman rides third in tour standings with Austin Alumbaugh and Cody Baker completing the top-five with the pair separated by 18 markers. Tyler Blank holds sixth with Broc Elliott and Corey Nelson in pursuit only 35 points separated. Randy Martin and Lanny Carpenter makeup the top-ten.

The series final trip to the Randolph County Raceway in 2016, the ASCS Warriors will be joined by ULMA Late Models, USRA Modifieds, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks, and FWD. Saturday, September 3 will see gates opening at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:30 P.M. (CDT). Admission is $20 for adults with kids aged 6-13 admitted for only $10.
