J&J Auto Racing Teams Grab Two Championships, Win Seven Features

McKenzie, Tenn. (Sept. 19, 2016) – The 2016 racing season has been one full of successes for J&J Auto Racing teams, as the McKenzie, Tenn., based manufacturer’s brand continues to see the hardware stack up. Drivers Wade Nygaard and Casey Mack, along with six of their fellow J&J Auto Racing drivers, took top honors in their respective series and divisions last week.

 

Nygaard led the 410ci charge for the brand as he earned his ninth career Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) series championship on September 16 over fellow J&J Auto Racing driver, Mack. Down but not out, Mack rebounded to win the River Cities Speedway (RCS) track championship in Grand Forks, ND, on Sept. 16 to wrap up a stellar season. Nygaard also finished third in the RCS final point standings. Donny Schatz nabbed his 22nd World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series victory of the season at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, on Sept. 16 to close out a solid weekend for J&J’s 410ci Winged Sprint contingent.

 

Jared Horstman grabbed top honors in the first night of the 360ci Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario, Canada, on Sept. 16. Mack DeMan kept up his winning ways at the same facility on Sept. 18, posting a win in the 305ci Winged Sprint division at Ohsweken Speedway to finish out a strong Canadian showing for J&J Auto Racing. Derek Hagar won the Ralph Henson Memorial event at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., on Sept. 16 to conclude J&J’s 360ci Winged Sprint contingent.

 

Darren Miller doubled up in 305ci IMCA Racesaver competition, rolling to the win at Hesston Speedway in Huntingdon, Penn., on Sept. 4. He matched that effort on Sept. 17 by winning his first feature event at Susquehanna Speedway in Newberrytown, Penn. Mike Leraas drove to at win at Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, NC, on Sept. 17, to boost J&J Auto Racing’s 305ci IMAC Racesaver division efforts.
