WINDOM, Minn. (Oct. 10, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports only has a couple more events remaining on the 2016 schedule.

While the Muddy sponsored team is off this weekend preparing to tackle the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions season finale on Oct. 21-22 at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, driver Danny Lasoski reflected on the level of success Big Game Motorsports has recently achieved.

The team has captured the National Sprint League championship as well as the 410ci track title at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, during each of the past two years.

“That’s a pretty good track record for us,” he said. “In this day and time with everyone so equal you’ve got to put it in the driver’s hands to make smart decisions. Guy (Forbrook) and everyone on the Muddy team gives me a great car. It has shown. They are second to none on maintenance and that’s something I’m proud of.”

While Lasoski and crew pulled away to earn sizeable wins in the NSL and Knoxville Raceway championships in 2015, this season provided more of a challenge.

“Sometimes you have to race smart and if you don’t have a car that can win you take the best you can get,” he said. “Sometimes that’s hard to do. Sometimes you have to just take a fifth-place finish.”

Consistency has been the catalyst for the Muddy backed team this year with six wins, 22 top fives and 33 top 10s so far.

“It goes to show how much prep work Guy and the guys put in each week,” he said. “You have to not only win races, but consistently be on the podium to earn championships. Championships are hard fought. If you win races and you’re consistent you’ll be a contender. I want to thank Tod (Quiring) for believing in us.”
