KNOXVILLE, Iowa. (August 10, 2017) — Spencer Bayston and Chase Wanner were offered the opportunity to re-qualify for the 57th Annual Knoxville Nationals on Thursday night after problems were discovered with the scales at Knoxville Raceway.
Both Bayston and Wanner’s cars were found under weight following their qualifying runs on Wednesday. After the races were complete Knoxville Raceway officials worked until 2:00 A.M. to diagnose the problem. Knoxville officials were able to to get the scales fixed and re-certified for Thursday’s program.
