BCRA MIDGETS HEAD TO HANDY PROMOTIONS PLACERVILLE SPEEDWAY

The Bay Cities Racing Association continues its 71st season with a trip to Handy Racing Promotions Placerville Speedway in the beautiful El Dorado Hills. 2008 and 2010 BCRA Champion Nick Foster Jr. leads the overall Championship by a shy 3 points, after 2 events, over 2008 Rookie of the Year Nick Chivello, and 2010 Rookie of the Year Dillon Silverman who is 6 points back. The dirt Championship is a different story, with Shannon Mcqueen leading Scott Pierovich by 9 points, and Pete Davis back 5 more.
Leading the charge will be Foster in Jim Fowler’s #1 Beast/Esslinger, Chivello in Cliff Blackwell’s #27b Stealth/Ford, Silverman in RAM Racing’s #4a Spike/EcoTEC, McQueen in her own #7 Spike/Esslinger, Pierovich in father Lance’s #35 Spike/Wirth Mopar and Davis in his own Hothead #00 Stealth/Esslinger.
The challengers will include 2009 Champion David Prickett in Neverlift Motorsports #15 Spike/Van Dyne, 7-time Champion Floyd Alvis in his own #18 Stealth/Esslinger, 2-time Chili Bowl feature starter Shane Golobic in Doug Bock’s #26 Spike/Esslinger, 1999 Champion Matt Streeter in his own #14jr Spike/Fontana and 2011 Rookie of the Year contender Darin Snider in Lauren Snider’s #2k Beast/Mopar.
Other notable entries include Britton Bock in his newly acquired #67 Spike/Esslinger, Danny Parker in Bob Roza’s #28 Stealth/Esslinger, Connor Kassik in Neverlift Motorsports #15n, Bobby Lawlor in Floyd Alvis’s #83 Stealth/Brayton, Jonathon Henry in Ken Graundstat’s #88 Ellis/Fontana and Kevin Morris in Del Morris’s #17k Spike/Esslinger.
Possible entries may include Randi Pankratz in Wally Pankratz #8 Edmunds/Fontana, Cody Swanson in his own #71 Edmunds/Van Dyne, Jake Swanson in his own #05 Stealth/Honda and the #19 Sala Racing Spike/Mopar.
