TOLEDO FRIDAY ACTION VICTIM OF RAIN

From Toledo Speedway

Toledo, OH — (May 13, 2011) — It was just another day in paradise at Toledo Speedway Friday evening as Mother Nature continues to play havoc with the 2011 race schedule. With the heat races completed and the Buckeye 305 Sprint Car feature on the track, the rains hit the speedway and washed out the Grogan’s Towne Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram Scout Night.

All rain checks from Friday night are good for any night of racing at Toledo for the 2011 season at their face value. If there is a difference in the admission price, fans will pay the difference or receive a refund is the price is less than $15 rain check. All rain checks must be taken to the ticket office on race day.

The 305 Sprinters will return to Toledo later this season. That date should be decided next week. The ARCA Dismantling Sportsman and R & M Recycling Street Stocks will return to action next Friday, May 20 with a new race card, and will be joined by the Parts Galore Figure 8’s and the Jeff’s Collision 4 Cylinders for the Wendy’s/Kickin’ Mule Car Wash Kids Night. All kids to age 14 will be admitted FREE and will also receive a FREE hot dog, chips and a drink, courtesy of Sherwood Foods, Seyfert’s Snacks and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group.

The ACME Dismantling Sportsman heat races were won by Dave Arnold Jr., Kenny McKay Jr. and Tom O’Leary IV. Fast qualifier for the 18 car field was Ron Allen at 17:262. Mike Hammer and Craig Osenbaugh took the R & M Recycling Street Stock heat races. Cory McCaughey set quick time at 11:968.
