SANTA MARIA, CA – FEBRUARY 22, 2012… Officials with the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway and Kings Speedway have reached an agreement that the “Pombo-Sargent Classic” will return to the Hanford facility on June 2nd. The popular Central Valley event will now showcase the winged King of the West Sprints, USAC West Coast 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, and Vintage Super Modifieds.

In addition to the June 2nd date relocating from Tulare to Hanford, there are other updates to the USAC West Coast 360 Schedule. The July 14th race previously scheduled at Kings Speedway has been moved to Tulare and is now the new date for the “John Anthony Sharp Memorial.” Hanford’s “Jim Evett Memorial” has been moved to August 4th.

The USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series will kickoff their 2012 campaign on Thursday, March 8th, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The non-point “Sin City Showdown” is also the first round of the 3-race “Grudge Series” with the ASCS Canyon Region and will showcase both groups with the famed World of Outlaw Sprint Cars. There is a $50 entry fee for competitors and for more information on the $2,500-to-win, $300-to-start event at Las Vegas, visit www.lvms.com.

Two days after the March 8th “Sin City Showdown,” Ventura Raceway will host the first round of the All Coast Construction 360 Challenge. The Saturday, March 10th, $2,500-to-win VRA Sprint Car event also allows racers to use the Hoosier Medium and VRA Right Rear Tires. The USAC West Coast 360 rules can be found at www.westcoastsprintcars.com and the ASCS Canyon Region rules are online at www.canyonspeedwaypark.com. Rules for the VRA Sprint Cars and Ventura Raceway are posted at venturaraceway.com.

The “Grudge Series” will resume at Santa Maria Speedway on July 7th for the “War at the Shore” and conclude at Canyon Speedway Park’s non-point “Brawl for in All” on September 22nd. Each race of the mini-series will carry a $2,500-to-win and $300-to-start purse, with a $50 entry fee. Thanks to sponsorship from Southwest Contractors, Hoosier Tire, and ParkerStore of Phoenix, the 3-race mini-series has a point fund of $15,000 with $5,000 up for grabs to the champion and $700 for 10th place in points. As this writing goes to press, Promoters Chris Kearns and Kevin Montgomery are looking for more sponsorship to pay at least $500 for 15th in “Grudge Series” points and the current point fund is listed at the end of this release.
