Ryan Bernal of Hollister, Calif. continues to lead the 2012 USAC West Coast Sprint standings entering this Saturday’s “Ron Otto Memorial” race at the Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway. Bernal has a 12-point lead over Markus Niemela in the series points.

Heavy rains on the west coast forced postponement of last Saturday’s “Brian & Chris Faria Memorial” USAC West Coast Sprint race at the Tulare (Calif.) Thunderbowl Speedway. The race has been reset for May 12.

Bernal won two of the four races contested at Santa Maria last season. The other two winners were Jace Vander Weerd and Danny Sheridan.
