SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway will present a four division show of 358 sprint cars, late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners at 6 p.m. this Saturday, April 21, sponsored by Advanced Concrete Systems of Middleburg. Track gates will open at 4 p.m.

Entering this weekend’s action, when the track’s handicapping system will be utilized to set the starting lineups for all four divisions for the first time this season, the point chases in the A&A Auto Stores 358 sprint cars and Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center late models are tied.

Pat Cannon of Etters and Mark Smith of Sunbury, who each have a win and a second-place finish in the first two 358 sprint car races of 2012, are tied in the early season point chase for the track championship.

Likewise, Jeff Rine of Danville and Dylan Yoder of Selinsgrove each have one win and are tied in the late model standings heading into this Saturday’s third race of the season.

Two-time defending champion and two-time winner this season AJ Hoffman of Richfield leads the Salem RV Center/Byers Built Engines pro stock standings by 70 points over Nate Kerstetter of Liverpool. Mike Kiehl of Ashland and Hayes Mattern of Beavertown also each have one win this season.

In the Collier Paving & Construction roadrunner standings, defending champion Bob Bussey of Northumberland has a 120-point lead over Brian Johnson. Bussey has two wins this season and Keith Bissinger of Orangeville has one win to date.

The late Larry Yarger, who was an avid supporter of Selinsgrove Speedway, founded Superior Walls by Advanced Concrete Systems, Inc. in 1986. The company, which provides homeowners with technologically-advanced building systems for dry and warm living spaces, employs nearly 100 individuals at its 122,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Middleburg. The Middleburg IGA will present plaques to each feature winner Saturday night to honor Mr. Yarger’s memory.

Selinsgrove Speedway will round out the month with the Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center Spring Championship for late models at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 28, plus 358 sprint cars, pro stocks, and roadrunners. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will host go kart and micro sprint car racing at 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, and the first of two Pennsylvania Dirt Karters Series (PDKS) events this season at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 22.
