Sharing Smiles at Genesis Development

From CDR

Prior to racing in Spencer, Iowa on Friday, Craig Dollansky Racing had the pleasure of stopping by Genesis Development in Storm Lake, Iowa to spend some time away from the race track and visit individuals with disabilities and show them the Big Game Treestands #7 sprint car.

With many of the clients talking about the event for a very long time, smiles glistened abundantly when the June 7th event finally took shape as many of the individuals dressed in Craig Dollansky t-shirts purchased in years past.

“The greatest reward was seeing the smiles on the faces of all the people we work with,” commented Angela Duitsman from Genesis Development. “We were so excited that Craig and the team made room in their schedule to make our fundraiser a huge success.”

While Craig, Julie, DJ, and Luke visited and took pictures with the estimated 500 people in attendance, the team raffled off shirts and caps with ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ signing each item when the lucky winner was drawn.

“This was a big deal for our small community of Storm Lake and all the workers of Genesis Development,” added Angela. “We have clients that attended this event from as far away as 150 miles and we also had to call in extra staff from our Boone and Jefferson sites. Our clients will be talking about this for a very long time.”

Genesis Development is a private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit rehabilitation organization that provides support for people with disabilities. Now with eleven locations in Iowa, Genesis Development has been around since 1973 providing services to more than 1,300 people with a staff of over 350 individuals across ‘The Hawkeye State’.
