Elk River, MN — (June 18, 2012) — For the first time in three years Craig Dollansky and the rest of the World of Outlaws returned to Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo, North Dakota. Now reconfigured to a 3/8-mile, the Big Game Treestands #7 team was ready to sling dirt on Saturday after recording their eleventh podium finish of the season up the interstate in Grand Forks the night before.

With 27 drivers signed into competition, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ started the night strong by timing in 2nd fastest at 12.728 seconds. In heat race #2, the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim started outside row two and used a great start to power around the outside of Donny Schatz and earn a spot in the dash by finishing 2nd. In the dash Dollansky improved his starting spot for the main event advancing from inside row three to finish 3rd.

In the 30-lap A-Main the MobileStar #7 started inside row two and ran in the same spot by a caution on lap 2. When the green flag replaced the yellow Dollansky lost a couple of positions and ran fifth before the next caution came with twelve circuits remaining. Following a couple more cautions, the Elk River, Minnesota driver took third momentarily when action resumed but ran fourth before the final yellow came with seven circuits remaining. Starting on the outside for the double-file restart, the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products backed sprinter lost a couple of spots on the restart with most of the field running the low side but still recorded a top-ten by crossing the finish line in 6th.

Action resumes this coming weekend with two nights of racing at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas.
