The Brad Doty Classic at Limaland

Big checks and big prestige known as ‘The Month of Money’ opened up on Wednesday for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they traveled to Limaland Motorsports Park in Ohio for the 24th Annual Brad Doty Classic following a pair of top-ten performances last weekend in Wisconsin.

With a stout field of 43 drivers signed into the ¼-mile pit area, the night could not have began any better for ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ as he topped the charts in qualifying for the 5th time this year at 10.998 seconds. Unfortunately the #7 team had to change the powerplant under the hood before the first heat race where Dollansky lined up outside row two and went on to finish 4th. An inversion of four again put the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim outside row two for the 8-lap dash and finished 6th.

As the 40-lap A-Main got underway the MobileStar #7 maintained sixth before the first caution on the second circuit. A long stretch of green flag action saw Dollansky claim fourth until another yellow just before halfway on lap 19. On the following double-file restart the Elk River, Minnesota driver battled for third but held fourth before another caution with 10 to go. ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ then motored into third went the main event continued until a red flag accident four laps later. The remaining 6 laps saw the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products backed sprinter slip back a few positions but still cap a strong night by recording a near top-five finish in 6th.

King’s Royal weekend at Eldora Speedway now awaits the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they head to ‘The Big E’ for two events beginning on Friday.
