Liberal, Kansas – July 29, 2012 – Current series point leader Brian Herbert of Dodge City, Kansas padded his points lead by claiming the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products 305 sprint car feature finale Sunday night at the Seward County Fairgrounds in Liberal, Kansas as they kicked off the running of the annual Five-State Fair.

Herbert started on the pole for the twenty lap 20 feature and quickly jumped into the lead over outside front row starter Raymond Seeman as the green flag fell. Third starting Jason Martin caught Herbert as the pair began entering lapped traffic and on lap eleven, drove underneath the leader to take the lead.

Martin found the bottom to his liking but would eventually cost him and he went a little too low entering turn two and clipped an implement tire, breaking his front end as he entered the back stretch.

That would be all that Herbert needed as he regained the top spot and went on to claim the $1000 victory over Seeman and become the fourth different feature winner in as many events. Zach Blurton, who came into the night second the tours point standings, finished third while Josh Fairbank and ninth starting Jake Bubak rounded out the top five.

The heat races for the thirteen car field were won by Seeman and Herbert.

The next scheduled stop for the NCRA 305 sprint car division will be held on Sunday night, September 2nd at the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas.
