Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee, Vt. topped off the final event in the 2012 USAC DMA Midget Series Saturday night at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. He won the 25-lap “special event” no-points race to close out the season, although he had already clinched the season championship.
Chaffee passed Joe Krawiec on lap 20 and led the last six laps to beat Krawiec, Josh Sunn, Jeff Champagne and Jamie Spalding. Champagne led the first two laps.
The nine point-paying races produced six feature winners, including defending champion Joe Krawiec’s three wins. Holcomb won twice, while Chaffee, Jeff Champagne, Dean Christensen and Dana Shaw each won once.
