Port Royal Fire & Rescue EMS Night This Week,

Port Royal, PA — (July 23, 2013) — Port Royal Speedway will present Juniata County Fire and Rescue EMS Night this Saturday, July 27 at 7:30 pm.

 

The July 27 program will feature racing action with the Aumiller’s Insurance 410 sprints, Gray’s Auto & Towing super late models and River Valley Builders PASS 305 sprints.

 

The night is meant to recognize and honor all fire, rescue and EMS companies and personnel from across Juniata County.

 

Prior to the race, upwards of two-dozen fire and rescue EMS apparatus units from all corners of the county will be on display.

 

Fire companies represented and committed at this time include Port Royal, Mifflin, Fayette, Beale Township, Delaware Township, East Waterford and Richfield along with Port Royal, Fayette, Thompsontown, Central Juniata and Lack Tuscarora ambulance companies.

 

Firetruck rides for youth will be given around the fairgrounds prior to the races from approximately 6 until 7 pm.

 

A parade of all fire trucks, ambulances and rescue trucks on hand for the night will take place during intermission.

 

Although final confirmation has not yet been received, expectation is high that an air ambulance from a local emergency trauma center will appear in the track’s infield between 5:30 and 6:30 pm.

 

Gates for the show will open at 5 pm with adult general admission set at $15 and students ages 12 – 18 admitted for just $5.

 

The July 27 program will be the final chance for sprint car teams to tune up for the Living Legends Dream Race slated for August 3.

 

The oval will present the 2013 Living Legends Dream Race honoring driver Todd Shaffer and owner Patty Beam at the event.

 

Over $50,000 in prize money will be paid out at the event along with some $10,000 worth of contingency cash and prizes
