Manitowoc, WI — (May 30, 2014) — With 24 Scott Conger (Eagle) and 26 Al Schlafer (Sussex) on the front row, there were 2 yellows deeper in the field before a full lap was run. One of them sent current points leader 39s Randy Sippel (Elkhart Lake) to the pits with a mechanical issue. When the green finally flew Conger grabbed the lead of the Professional Plating Inc. 360 Sprint feature. The 21h Tim Haddy (Waupan) slipped around Schlafer into second on Lap 2, then around Conger for the lead on Lap 4. At the midway mark 99 Kyle Marten (Sheboygan Falls) moved into second putting pressure on Haddy, while 15m Justin Miller (Plymouth) was pushing Conger for 3rd. Miller got the best of Conger 4 laps later and moved solidly into third, leaving Conger and Schlafer to battle for 4th. Haddy held off Marten for his first win of the young season, with Miller, Conger, and 4 Paul Pokorski (West Bend) rounding out the top 5. Hard charger Marten picked up 4 spots.
