Delmar, DE — (June 11, 2014) — The Rislone URC Sprints prep for another two race weekend and it all gets underway on Friday night, June 13 at the Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, MD followed by a Saturday night, June 14 stop at the Winchester VA Speedway. In 2013, JJ Grasso thrilled the crowd winning the 25 lap feature event at the Potomac Speedway. Grasso developed motor problems early in the night and fought back to claim the win. At the Winchester Speedway in 2013, Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA was the winner, taking the lead on the last lap from Brian Carber. Pole sitter JJ Grasso finished third on the racy high banks of Winchester.

Brian Carber of Pipersville, PA remembers that visit to Winchester as he was looking for his first ever with URC win. This year, Carber will be heading to Potomac and Winchester as the Rislone URC Sprint Series point leader. Carber eventually went on to find URC victory lane and already has one win to his credit this year. Carber holds a narrow four point lead over Ed Aikin who also has one win this season. Third in points is Davie “No Panic” Franek fourth is Randy West with rookie stand out Will Eggimann making up the top five in points.

The current top five in URC points have never won a URC Championship. But sitting in sixth in the point chase is eight time URC champion Curt Micheal, driving the Bill Gallagher owned sprint car. Joining the URC sprints on the Friday night program will be the Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Strictly Stocks and U-Cars. Gates will open at 5 PM with warm-ups at 7:30 PM. Race qualifying begins at 8 PM. Admission is $15 for adults, Seniors & Military is just $13 and kids 12 years of age and under are free to the grandstands.
