Derek Hagar made his Fourth of July a memorable one as he scored the $3,500 triumph at Hilltop Speedway last Friday in Pete Grove’s No. 70 J&J. Hagar started on the pole alongside fellow J&J racer Lee Jacobs (No. 81 J&J). Hagar took command from the start and led the distance to pick up his first win in Grove’s J&J and 11th of the season.
Danny Holtgraver (No. 10H J&J) finished fourth ahead of Tim Shaffer (No. 45 J&J) to give J&J three of the top five finishers.
JORDAN RYAN
Jordan Ryan used a last lap pass to secure Friday’s victory at Attica Raceway Park in the Foster’s Auto Body 305 Sprints division. Ryan raced his No. 5 J&J into the lead going in turns one and two on the final lap, but found himself behind a lapped car coming out of turn four, but he had enough speed to claim his second win of the season and fifth of his career at ARP.
ERIC WILLIAMS
Eric Williams picked up his first win of the season last Saturday night at Mercer Raceway Park. Williams wheeled his No. 7 J&J into second early and took the lead in lapped traffic. He would lead the rest of the way and be followed to the finish by fellow J&J racer Adam Kekich (No. 5k J&J) to give J&J a one-two sweep.
KOTY ADAMS
Koty Adams wheeled his No. 16 J&J to victory in Saturday night’s Lousiana Bayou Sprinters event at Thunder Valley Speedway. The victory was his second of 2014.
BRANDON JENNINGS
Brandon Jennings scored his first win of 2014 on Saturday night at Lawton (Oklahoma) Speedway. Jennings drove his No. 21 J&J to the win.
CODY HAHN
Cody Hahn made a promising debut in his No. 23 J&J Saturday night at Hibbing (Minn.) Raceway. The 2010 Upper Midwest Sprint Series champion raced from the 10th-starting position and into the lead on lap 22 of the 25-lap race. He would lead the final 3 laps to score the win.
