Selinsgrove, PA — (September 6, 2014) — Severe thunderstorms coupled with a tornado watch forced Selinsgrove Speedway officials to cancel Saturday night’s Foss Jewelers four division racing card at about 6:45 p.m. Foss Jewelers night has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, when the 360 sprint cars, super late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners will compete in the final points race of the season.
Selinsgrove Speedway will present the Jim Nace Memorial 32nd Annual National Open for 410 sprint cars sponsored by Selinsgrove Ford at 7 p.m. next Saturday, Sept. 13. The 44-lap main event will pay $12,000 to win out of the $40,000-plus purse. The super late models will also be on the racing program.
The final race of the season on Saturday, Sept. 27, will feature the 360 sprint cars in the 14th Annual Mach 1 Chassis National Open paying $10,000 to win.
