New track promoters Scott Russell and Kami Arnold have been busy getting everything in order for the 2016 season, and made securing title sponsorship a primary focus. “We are excited to continue the long standing partnership with Red Hawk Casino and appreciate their support of Placerville Speedway and the surrounding community”, said Russell. “We are looking forward to an outstanding 2016 season.”
In renewing the partnership between the two premiere entertainment venues in El Dorado County, Casino Chairman Nicholas H. Fanseca stated, “The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians and it’s Red Hawk Casino are proud to continue our title sponsorship with Placerville Speedway. We are committed to our community and have enjoyed our long-term partnership with the Speedway, which offers great family fun for local residents.”
Constructed in 2008, Red Hawk Casino is an expansive 88,000 square feet facility that sits just a few miles West of the El Dorado County Fairgrounds. A world class gaming operation, it boasts 2400 slot machines, 75 gaming tables, poker rooms, and five restaurants. A family friendly atmosphere, the Casino also has non-smoking gaming areas, a Red Hawk Traders Gift Shop, Kids Quest child care for children 6-12 years of age, as well as an impressive Cyber Quest Video Game Arcade.
Fans frequenting Placerville Speedway are urged to join the Red Hawk Rewards Club. The Rewards Club is a free service offered by the Casino as a loyalty program, offering guests the ability to earn points redeemable for free slot play, dining at all Casino restaurants, as well as at the Red Hawk Traders gift shop and more. The casino welcomes race teams and fans to it’s facility after a night of racing with ample parking for large haulers, live entertainment, and dining.
Placerville Speedway’s 2016 season kicks off with a practice night for all classes on March 19th, followed by the return of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Wednesday, March 23rd. The weekly Red Hawk Casino Championship series begins on Saturday, April 2nd. The 2016 racing season features 17 point races and a total of 25 events between April and October.
