Placerville, CA (June 1)…Following a scheduled Saturday off for Memorial Day weekend, which came on the heels of a rainout on May 21st, Placerville Speedway roars back into action this Saturday night, June 4th with “Riebes Auto Parts” night. The 8th scheduled point race of the 2016 Red Hawk Casino Championship Season, the evening will feature a four division program that includes the Thompson’s Auto Group 360 Sprint Cars, the Domco Plumbing Limited Late Models, the Jay’s Mobile Welding and Fabricating Pure Stocks, as well as the BCRA Midget Lite Series.
“We are looking forward to getting back into action this weekend”, stated promoter Scott Russell. “With all the rain we’ve seen, it’s been hard to establish any kind of rhythm with the race track. We are hoping to get some races in and pick up some momentum as we head into the busiest time of the year on the schedule”.

Behind Grunert, Dan Smith, Dan Jinkerson, and Jason Palmer round out the top five, with the second through fifth place competitors separated by just 5 points.
The BCRA Midget Lites return for the fourth time in 2016. Kyle Offill leads the series back to the tight little 1/4 mile at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, having won 2 of the 3 events thus far. May 7th winner Charlie Caraccilo is also expected to be on hand, along with Craig Dillard, Scotty Males, and the rest of the BCRA regulars. Pit gates will open at 2PM with the front gates opening at 3PM.
