DACONO, Colo. (August 22, 2026) – The Poison Lil Classic brought the Race For The Million season to a thrilling close at Colorado National Speedway on Saturday night, and Aaron Willison left no doubt about who was king of the season.
The Canadian driver swept the night, capturing the Poison Lil Classic feature win and the 2026 Race For The Million Championship. Kody Swanson drove from deep in the field to second, but Willison ultimately had control of the feature finishing seconds ahead of the field. Bobby Santos III rounded out the podium for the feature.
In Victory Lane, Willison shared, “We’ve just got an incredible group of people around us. Car owner is from the southeast, we’re from the northwest, lots of moving parts involved. Built this car from scratch, started January 12th. Just so damn proud of every single thing that everybody has allowed me to accomplish.”
Kody Swanson was also awarded the Eibach Spring Forward Awards for advancing nine positions through the feature.
Coincidentally, the Poison Lil Classic podium mirrored the Inaugural Race For The Million Championship. Willison took home the $40,000 points pay day followed by Kody Swanson and Bobby Santos III.
The championship finale brought the curtain down on a season that saw Race For The Million’s pavement winged sprint cars compete at some of the country’s most prominent short tracks, culminating in a fitting conclusion at Colorado National Speedway.
