DIRTcar Challenge Sprint Series Debuts next week!

Sarver, PA (April 16, 2010) For the third time in four weeks, inclement weather has forced the cancellation of tonight’s Fab Four Racing program. But they say that the third time is the charm, so next Friday April 23 we will try again to run the second show of the 2010 Fab Four Racing season at Lernerville Speedway.

The Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints will take center stage next week as the weekly Fab Four format will include the inaugural event of the newly formed DIRTcar Challenge Sprint Series. The DIRTcar CSS will feature $2,000-to-win, $9,500 total purses and a $12,500 year-end points fund. The increased purse event will still count towards the Lernerville Speedway Budweiser point standings and there will be no increase in admission prices!

The 10 race series is bookended at Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway; kicking off next weekend April 23 and ending at the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede in October. In addition to the first and last race of the series, Lernerville will also host a DIRTcar Challenge Sprint Series event on Friday July 30.

The other races will be contested at Tri-City Speedway on Sunday May 2, July 4 and September 5; Sharon Speedway on Wednesday July 7 and Saturday August 7; and Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday July 31 and September 11.

The other three divisions of Fab Four Racing will also be in action next Friday Night, as Brian Swartzlander (Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modifieds) and Joe Kelley (Charapp Route 28 DIRTcar Sportsman) will look to repeat their Opening Night conquests and continue to rewrite the Lernerville Speedway record books in the process! Swartzlander (65 wins) trails Hall of Famer Lou Blaney (69 wins) by just four Modified wins, while Joe Kelley leads the Sportsman/Stock division with 33 career feature wins.

Meanwhile, Dave Hess Jr. will be looking to repeat his Opening Night DIRTcar Late Model feature win as the area’s best Late Model drivers get one final tune-up before the O’Reilly All Stars Late Model Series Showdown in Sarvertown on Friday April 30.

Tonight’s rainout also means you have one more week to register for Fantasy Fab Four Racing, which will now start on Friday April 23. Prize packages include tickets for the World of Outlaws Commonwealth Clash, the O’Reilly All Stars Dual in the Dirt, the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede and 2011 Fab Four Racing.
