Defending USAC/SMRS Great Plains Midget Series Champion Brad Loyet owns a 22-point lead over Don Droud Jr. in the 2010 standings. That lead was not affected this past weekend as rains forced postponement of a pair of series races.
Friday night’s “Kevin Doty Classic” at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill. and Saturday night’s event at 24 Raceway in Moberly, Mo. both fell victim to the weather. Both events are expected to be rescheduled and the dates will be announced when firm.
The USAC/SMRS series resumes May 21-22 in back-to-back nights of racing at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kans.
