ASCS2 Midgets Fire to Life with Oklahoma Double!

TULSA, Okla. (May 17, 2010) – A new era of Midget racing officially fires to life this coming weekend with the inaugural pair of ASCS2 Midget Red River Region events in the Sooner State.

Creek County Speedway near Tulsa, OK, hosts the inaugural ASCS2 Midget Red River event on Friday night, with the series moving on to Lawton Speedway on Saturday night.

Presented by Emmett Hahn, Friday’s card is an all open-wheel affair with the ASCS2 Eco-Tech Chevy Midgets accompanied by the ASCS2 Outlaw, Non-Wing and Restricted “A” Micro Sprint Car divisions.

Gates for Friday’s card at Creek County Speedway open at 5:00 p.m., with racing action going green at 7:30 p.m.

After Friday’s ASCS2 Midget debut at Creek County, the Midget forces move on to the ¼-mile Lawton Speedway, where action is set to go green at 8:00 p.m.

The all-new Chevy Eco-Tech powered ASCS2 Midget class debuted over the winter at the Tulsa Shootout, with reigning ASCS2 Outlaw Micro champion and current points leader Kevin Bayer of Bixby, OK, topping the Midget forces.

This weekend’s ASCS2 Midget events at Creek County Speedway and Lawton Speedway mark the first of approximately 15 events for the cost-effective Midget series.
