ROSSBURG, OH (June 15) – In continuation of a program started three years ago in association with the Community Blood Center, Eldora Speedway will host a Blood Drive on Thursday, June 24.
The community service project will take place inside the Eldora Ballroom, located adjacent to the main parking lot from 2:30 – 6:30 PM.
Last year found a substantial increase in the amount of blood units collected and the Eldora staff is anxious to see that number increased even greater this year.
Says general manager Larry Kemp, “sponsoring a blood drive is an important community responsibility, and we take great pride in reaching out towards a hefty goal that is needed to support the patients in our area”.
In addition to the satisfaction that the blood donors will receive, knowing that they helped to save lives, Eldora Speedway is offering incentives. A total of 25 race tickets will be awarded throughout the day, and at the end of the day a drawing among the participants will find two grand prizes. The first grand prize will be a pair of tickets to the July 17 Kings Royal at Eldora, and the second grand prize will be a signed item from Eldora owner and two-time NASCAR Cup champion, Tony Stewart.
