Triple X Race Co PR

As the weather has finally started taking a turn for the better, Triple X Race Co wants to recognize the Team XXX drivers who beat mother nature and their competitors this past weekend. Robert Ballou won his sixth feature of the year in Indiana. Shane Golobic put the Bullet Racing #35 XXX in victory lane in California. Jimmy Crawford was a non-wing winner for the second time in Southern California. Matt VanDerSys won his fourth feature of the year in Washington and Kenny Potter was a non-wing winner in Missouri.

Robert Ballou was flawless in victory on Saturday night at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, IN. After winning his heat race, Robert made his pole position start pay off as he zoomed away from his competition and made some breathtaking moves in lapped traffic to take his sixth win of 2010 in the MPHG Promotions #81 XXX.

Shane Golobic has had a steep learning curve as he transitions into winged 360 sprint car racing. The non-wing ace reached the top of that curve on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway in California as he took down the tough as nails 360 division in the M&M Structures #35 XXX. Golobic led every lap of the main event from his pole position start. “I really want to thank John Taylor and this team for all their dedication and hard work” said Shane…”This past week John and the crew made some changes on the car and I think we have figured out. It was perfect out here tonight.”

When big money is on the line, Jimmy Crawford has the hammer down. Driving the XXX car owned by his motor builder Steve Gresham, Crawford won another big paying race at Ventura Raceway as he took home $2,500 for his victory in the second of three rounds in the All Coast Construction Series in the wingless 360 division. Crawford now sits second in points for the $3,500 to win championship race coming up in October, a race he won last year. Crawford is the proprietor of Twister X, the authorized XXX dealer in Southern California.

Matt VanDerSys has been in victory lane more than any other driver this year at Skagit Speedway as he won his fourth feature of the year in the Cook Road Shell Sportsman Sprints. Glen Reinstra led the first twelve laps of the main until VanDerSys caught him, and then used Glen’s teammate Eric Thibert as a basketball style pick to trap Glen on the bottom and storm around the high side to take the lead and eventual win in his Timber Trax #30 XXX.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that XXX chassis have been on top of the mountain in non-wing sprint car action in 2010. Aside from the multiple TNT wins and USAC triumph at Eldora, XXX chassis have been winning at many local tracks across North America and Australia as well. Kenny Potter is the latest Team XXX member to find success at his local track, taking his #55 XXX that he purchased from XXX dealer BRE to victory lane at Valley Speedway on Friday night.
