Dave Blaney Latest to Enter 50th Anniversary Nationals/Early Entry Deadline Thursday!

With the early entry deadline quickly approaching (July 15), the entries are pouring into the Knoxville Raceway on a daily basis. The latest entry has come from 1997 Knoxville Nationals champion, Dave Blaney. 1997 was the last year that Blaney competed in the Nationals before moving onto a career on the NASCAR circuit.

Dave has competed in fifteen Knoxville Nationals championship races (tenth on the all-time list) in all fifteen tries, has nine top ten finishes, has been the top point getter and sat on the pole twice, is tenth on the all-time feature laps led (44) list, and has won three preliminary feature events.

Randi Turner of Manteca, California will be making his first appearance at the Knoxville Nationals since 1990. He finished 23rd in the championship race in 1988.

Other entries recently received include those of locals Bronson Maeschen, Skip Jackson, Josh Schneiderman, Seth Brahmer and Ryan Bunton, West Virginia sensation Cale Conley, Aussies Trevor Green and Paul Jeffrey, South Dakota’s Chad Meyer, All Star Rookie of the Year candidate Jared Ridge, Minnesotan Scott Winters and defending ASCS Lucas Oil National champion Shane Stewart.

The 50th Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals will be held Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 11-14. Entries received prior to July 15 are $100, with five crew members admitted for $20 apiece each night. The driver and owner are admitted at no charge. After July 15, the entry will be $200.

The 20th Annual Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals is scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 5-7. Entries received before July 15 will be $50, and five crew members will be admitted each night at $20 apiece. After the July 15 cutoff, entries will be $100.

The USAC Non-wing Knoxville Nationals will be held on Sunday, August 8. Entries received before July 15 will be $75. After July 15, entries are $100.

Drivers entering the Premier Chevy Dealers World Challenge on Friday, August 13 are required to enter the Knoxville Nationals as well as complete the World Challenge entry form.
