Bob “Hoot” Hartman

From Don Holbrook
Denver, CO (October 28, 2010) – It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the loss of one of my closest and dearest friend and one of the RMMRA’s biggest supporter.  Bob “Hoot” Hartman passed away early Wednesday evening October 27, 2010 after a ten month battle of cancer.
Bobby will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his gift of doing things for others, he would truly give the shirt off his back to help and to be kind to others.  He would always, when he was able to help the RMMRA with funds for trophies at our banquet.
Hoot started going to the Midgets in the late 1940’s and was on Tommy Rice’s pit crew in 1949, he started driving Midgets in 1962 through 1965.
A business man, he owned Bob’s Liquors before opening his Continental Power Sweeping Company.
Bob was given the RMMRA Lifetime membership in 2003 # 56.
