Congratulations to Kevin and Sammy Swindell for yet another great week of midget racing at the Chili Bowl. With Sammy winning the A-Main on his qualifying night and starting on the front row Saturday he was definitely a strong favorite in what many considered to be his best car yet. Kevin started in the 10th spot next to Nick Knepper who was using his rear double adjustable Super Shox that he ran 3rd with in Thursday nights A-Main. Nick had moved his way up to the 4th spot when a spin on lap 41 by the third place car collected him and caused front end damage that ended his night early in what could have been a top 3 finish for Knepper and a podium sweep for Super Shox. With Sammy taking the lead on lap 13 and Nick charging his way to the front Kevin fell back a few spots and waited for the track to come in before making his move. Once he got going he really took off and executed a perfect pass to take the lead from Sammy on lap 40 and was able to stay out front for the final 10 laps and thru two more cautions to win by a thin margin of .080 seconds. Both Swindell’s used their Super Shox to their advantage during yellow flag laps and were able to make shock adjustments to keep up with changing track conditions and it showed.

Super Shox were well represented during Chili Bowl week with strong runs by Andrew Deal, Mike Hess, Shane Cockrum, Joey Moughan, Brett Anderson and Bobby Michnowicz who commented after the race that this was the best car he has ever had at the Chili Bowl but his worst finish due to bad luck and side by side racing that made passing difficult. In addition to these racers there were many more with Super Shox who commented that their cars were working great but ended up on the wrong end of Chili Bowl luck with crashes or mechanical issues.

With the third consecutive Chili Bowl win by a car with Super Shox and many other strong runs during the course of the week it just shows the advantage Super Shox gives to it’s racers with a high quality product and excellent customer service along with technical support. A new added benefit for Super Shox racers was the mobile service center at the track during Chili Bowl week. This mobile service center will be used at many events during the 2011 season to better serve our customers and keep them out front winning races.
