Bowser and Swartzlander share Best in Show honors in Lernerville Mall Show

From Lernerville Speedway

Sarver, PA (March 6, 2011) The Lernerville Speedway made Clearview Mall it’s home this past weekend for the first of two car shows to kick start the 2011 season. Over 30 cars filled Clearview’s midway, bringing hundreds of family and friends with them.

Track officials and media members voted Carl Bowser’s #10 Sprint Car and Danny Swartzlander’s #3 Late Model as Best in Show. Eight different cars received votes, with Bowser and Swartzlander receiving three votes a piece!

This year’s Fan Favorite voting was contested on our Facebook fan page. All four divisions saw run away winners as Danny Holtgraver in the Ti22 Sprints, Colton Flinner (nephew of the legendary John Flinner) in the Precise Lates, Shawn Fleeger in the Diehl Mods and Joseph Heinl in the Pick-A-Part Sportsman were voted as Fan Favorites. To be fair, Colton’s Late Model is powered by a crate engine, but with Swartzlander winning the Best in Show award, there were no other Super Lates in the show!

Other cars on display included the sprint cars of Lindsay Enscoe, Brandon Spithaler and Steve Lucas. Mike Pegher Jr. and Tom Klein had their late models and Mike Turner had his modified on display. The Sportsman Stocks once again had the most cars of any division in the show as Bob Egley, Ryan Moyer, Wayne Carbo, Terry Young, Scott Byers, John McCann and Travis Walsh.

The fine folks from Blanket Hill Speedway and Neupert Raceway Park were on hand, as were a variety of Mod Lites, Micros, GoKarts, Flat Track Quads and a ¾ Late Model. The Diehl Auto Group Safety Truck and a pair of quads from Stiller Motorsports were also on display.
