The Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series returns to the super fast high banked half mile of Salem Speedway on Sunday April 10, 2011. The event will be the beginning of what is expected to be close and fierce competition for the series 2011 championship.
The “ Worlds Fastest Short Track Cars” will be lead by Jason Blonde of Litchfield, MI. Blonde was the fastest of the fast March 19th at Bristol Motor Speedway as he established a new world record during the World’s Fastest Half-Mile Speed Trials with a blistering lap of 144.871 mph in 13.245 seconds, shattering the previous track record of 138.442 mph in 13.860 seconds set by Sammy Swindell in June of 2000 at BMS during a World of Outlaws event.
MSRXSS stars Ryan Litt, Jeff Bloom, Jacob Wilson, Jimmy McCune, Travis Miniea, Mike Larrison, Hank Lower, Kyle Flint, Jason Cox, Billy Wease, Dave Baumgartner, Donnie Adams Jr. and others will join Blonde in the high speed, wheel to wheel down force racing competing for the coveted Salem Cup trophy.
The new Must See radar gun will eliminate any speculation or guessing and record straight away speeds giving fans a real time picture of how well the different race cars are performing, improving or struggling with set ups through the night of competition.
The track will host an open test and tune session on Saturday followed by a cookout under the beautiful Salem Speedway open air pavilion. On Sunday, MSRXSS will have a special autograph meet and greet session with the drivers, present a race fan contest with the grand prize winner receiving a certificate to drive a real sprint car and the race fans can strap on the seat belts in the Must See Racing show sprint car.
MSRXSS will again be nationally televised with host Rick Benjamin, Tom Bigelow and Dave Argabright on a tape delayed production presenting all the racing action and the stories and drama in the pits up close and personal with the race teams.
