(Riverside, CA, June 29, 2011) After a disapointing trip to Northern California two weeks ago, Riverside, California’s “Dynamite” David Cardey will be wheeling his own red #59 Sprint Car when the USAC/CRA Series returns to Perris Auto Speedway for the annual Firecracker 30 this Saturday, July 2nd.

Two weeks ago the 35-year-old driver picked up a ride in the Dwight Chaney #42 for the two race Northern/Central California swing at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville and Santa Maria Speedway. After qualifying 16th in the 32 car field at Ocean, he finished fifth in his heat race and that put him in the B main. He then earned his ticket to the 30-lap A main by placing 4th in the B.

Just one week after winning at Victorville Raceway Park, disaster struck early for Cardey in the Ocean Speedway main. He got tagged from behind, hit and flipped in turn four on the opening lap. “It busted just about every bolt on part on the car and we were done for the weekend” the dissapointed driver said after the race.

Cardey’s race on Saturday will be available for viewing live online at The PAS pay per view channel. He is excited as it will expose his sponsors to racing fans around the world. The show, which will cost $4.99. will start at 6:00 PM and is available at: http://www.perrisautospeedway.com/livefeed.html. The live cast will be blacked out within a 100-mile radius, but will available to everyone including local “On Demand” a few days later.

Spectator gates will open at 3:00 PM on Saturday and fans will be able to go on the track before the races to get autographs and photos of Cardey and the other drivers. The City of Perris Centenial Celebration will also be taking place and there will be games, inflatables, a dunk tank, a live band, a race car train and more. In addition to the racing at night, fans can watch the biggest and best fireworks show in Riverside County.
