Month of Money Opens for Kraig Kinser with the Brad Doty Classic at Limaland & Kings Royal at Eldora

By Parsons Motorsports PR

Granger, IA—July 12, 2011—The four weeks between the middle of July and the middle of August certainly live up to moniker of “The Month of Money,” as six high paying events dot the World of Outlaws calendar. Kraig Kinser has tasted victory during “The Month of Money” with that coming in the 2005 Knoxville Nationals, and the third generation driver would like nothing more than to pick up a win this year during the stretch, as he continues his first season driving the Casey’s General Store Maxim for the Parsons Motorsports team.

The “Month of Money” kicks off for Kinser and the rest of the World of Outlaws this week, with a stop at Limaland Motorsports Park on Wednesday, July 13 for the 23rd Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic presented by Racing Optics, followed by the Knight Before the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway on Friday, July 15 and the 28th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday, July 16.

Kinser has finished fourth each of the last two years in the Brad Doty Classic at Limaland Motorsports Park. He competed with the World of Outlaws for the first time at the ¼-mile bullring in 2008.

Kinser raced with the World of Outlaws at Eldora for the first time in 2001, making the field for the Kings Royal for the first time the following year. The third generation driver has four starts in the Kings Royal, earning a couple of Top-10 finished in that event, including a career-best sixth-place finish in 2005. He also picked up a Top-10 in 2009, coming home ninth in the 40-lap crown jewel event.

Kinser has made 33 career main event starts with the World of Outlaws at Eldora picking up eight Top-10 and three Top-Five finishes along the way. He earned a career-best third-place finish in 2005. Kinser finished eighth earlier in this year’s only World of Outlaws event at the famed track.

The native of Bloomington, Ind. enters this week 12th in the World of Outlaws standings, just 33 markers out of the Top-10. He finished 12th last Friday night at Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin and was 23rd at Beaver Dam Raceway after getting caught up in a wreck on the seventh lap while battling for the seventh position. He has 10 Top-10 finishes and two Top-Fives on the season.

Kraig on Limaland Motorsports Park:

“The Brad Doty Classic is one of those races you always look forward to. Brad does a great job with the event along with all the people at Limaland Motorsports Park and the University of Northwestern Ohio. Brad is one of the best ambassadors of the sport and to be able compete in a race that honors him is pretty special for us. I’ve had two solid runs there each of the last two years and we have been pretty good on the small tracks this year, so I am looking forward to heading over there this week.”

Kraig on Eldora Speedway:

“The Kings Royal is one of the crown jewels of the sport and one that everyone wants to win. They always have a unique format for that event and you don’t know what it is until right before the race on Saturday night, so that adds some suspense to it. We had a solid run at Eldora earlier this year, so hopefully we can build on that and have another strong run.”
