By Gary Thomas

Rio Vista, CA – September 28, 2011…After a two-week hiatus “KWS Tonight” will return to the air waves this Thursday night at 7pm pst with a special mini tribute show to “Carwash” Mike Avilla.

We will have former crew chief Jamie Skinner call in and share her thoughts on “Carwash Mike” and give an update on what the Skinner family is up to nowadays.

Her brother Jim was a former winner of the “Salute to Walt Ross” at the Calistoga Speedway and campaigned a car on the Golden State 410 tour for a number of years.

In addition to that we’ll have Elk Grove youngster Kyle Larson calling in to discuss his huge season to date and his first experience at the famed Eldora Speedway last weekend, where he did the unthinkable and swept the USAC portion of the 4 Crown Nationals.

The 19-year-old is preparing for this weekend’s Pacific Sprint Fall Nationals in Chico, as he returns to California and gets back behind the wheel of the Stadelhofer Construction No. 99 machine. Larson also speaks about what his favorite track is and how special it would be if he could win there at the end of the month.

We’ll also briefly touch on our season ending event at the Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway in Hanford on Saturday October 15. The evening of competition will mark the 26th Cotton Classic and will put an exciting cap on the inaugural KWS season.
