– OWASSO, Okla. (Jan. 11) – US 36 Raceway is a fast, high-banked track that produces side-by-side racing and an electric atmosphere.

The 3/8-mile dirt oval in Osborn, Mo., has hosted numerous regional races in recent years and thanks to TBJ Promotions, US 36 Raceway is back on the ASCS National Tour schedule for the first time since 2005.

“Whenever we look at tracks where we might promote, we look at two things,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce Jr. said. “First, how awesome is the race track. Second, how good is the fan base. At US 36, the racing is always great and the fan base is huge. They really support sprint cars in that part of the country.”

Teaming with Scott Traylor Promotions, the inaugural US 36 Nationals is scheduled for July 3 and kicks off a busy month of racing for the ASCS National Tour with 14 races at 12 tracks in seven states. It is also on a Tuesday night and will be the first midweek race for TBJ Promotions and Scott Traylor Promotions.

“One thing I think that’s good about July 3 is since it’s the night before the Fourth of July most people don’t have to work,” Scott Traylor Promotions Founder Scott Traylor said. “They can come out, have a good time and not have to rush home.”

This is the first time TBJ Promotions and Scott Traylor Promotions have officially teamed up. It is also one of six ASCS National Tour races in 2012 for TBJ Promotions and the first career for Scott Traylor Promotions.

“We’re really looking forward to bringing the ASCS National Tour there,” Bruce Jr. said. “It’s an awesome place to race and what better to bring in there than the national tour, which has great cars and showcases great racing.”
