When Tommy Tarlton realized he needed to find a replacement driver for this weekends Rebel Cup race in Hanford, CA he didn’t look very far, as he went down the street, directly to the two-time defending World of Outlaws champion, Jason Meyers.

“I didn’t even think twice about who I wanted to pilot my car this weekend,” said Tarlton.

With a scheduling conflict forcing him to miss a race, Jason Meyers will fill the seat of Tarlton’s Corporate America Lending/Tachi Palace and Casino/Sharp Insurance No.21.

Meyers is fresh off of a rain shortened ‘All Star Appreciation Tour’ with the World of Outlaws and couldn’t be more excited to fill in for his long time friend.

“I am very excited to get out to the track and race for the fun of racing,” said Meyers. “I can’t remember the last time I went to the track not having to worry about points, or getting a great finish to put food on my table.”

Meyers, who is a native of Clovis, CA is also excited to get back to racing in front of friends and family as he considers Hanford and Tulare both “home” tracks.

Tarlton and his team have been strong so for in 2012, but Meyers will look to put the Tarlton and Son entry in victory lane for the first time this season.

“Jason is a great driver, and a great guy,” Tarlton continued. “I know he will do my sponsors proud, and hopefully put the team in victory lane.”

Tommy would like to thank Corporate Lending America, Tachi Palace and Casino, Sharp Insurance, Bandy and Associates, Pro Signs BG Lubricants, Pro Shocks and Astro Titanium for their continued support.
