Tim Crawley rockets to USCS Firecracker win at Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – (June 30, 2012) – Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas charged past K&N Filters Pole Position starter, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee into the lead in turn one of the 25-lap United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear main event at Clarksville Speedway on Saturday night and never looked back on the way to the www.RockAuto.com USCS victory lane for the seventh time this season. It was his second win of the weekend and ran his win streak to three in-a-row. Crawley drove the Ward Racing, Lucas Oil sponsored #88 car to victory lane. He was followed to the finish line by Gray who is a ten-time and the defending series Champion in his familiar black #10 Rislone Engine Treatment sponsored Wesmar powered J&J Auto Racing car in the runner-up spot. Three-time 2012 USCS feature winner Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas came home in the K7N Filters Podium Award third position. The 2010 USCS Southern Thunder by presented Goodyear regional series seventeen-year-old Rookie of the Year, Eric Riggins from Charlotte, North Carolina finished fourth and 2008 USCS Rookie of the Year, Anthony Nicholson from Bartlett, Tennessee rounded out the top five drivers.

Jeff Willingham from Ripley, Mississippi led the next group in sixth place. Alex Pettis from Phoenix, Arizona finished in seventh place. The 2010 USCS National Rookie of the Year, 19 year-old Morgan Turpen from Oakland, Tennessee drove her #80 to eighth place. Legendary veteran Ray Bugg from Iuka, Mississippi followed in ninth place and Jan Howard from Marion, Arkansas completed the top ten finishers.

Anthony Nicholson won the 6-cars, 6-lap Goodyear Speed Dash. Tim Crawley won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat and Jan Howard won the Butlerbuilt Second Heat Race. Anthony Nicholson was the Wilwood Engineering Hard Charger in the main event.
