NORFOLK COUNTY NIGHT THIS WEEK AT OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY

(July 25, 2012) – Best Western Cairn Croft Hotel presents “Norfolk County Night” this week at Ohsweken Speedway for another round of Friday Night Thunder. Spectators showing proof of residence in Norfolk County will be admitted to the speedway for half price this Friday, July 27. The Corr/Pak Merchandising Sprint Cars, Lighthouse Tattoos Thunder Stocks, HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, and Pierced Parts Bombers will supply the racing action.

CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING SPRINT CARS
Fenwick’s Chris Steele tops the list of Sprint Car championship contenders again this week, and he has a 17 point lead over Ohsweken driver Glenn Styres. Travis Cunningham of Grimsby won his second feature of the season last Friday night, and has moved into contention, just 3 points behind Styres, while Fenwick’s Tom Huppunen, and Tecumseh, Michigan driver Dain Naida remain in the top 5.

LIGHTHOUSE TATTOOS THUNDER STOCKS
Cambridge driver Wyatt Van Wart remains atop the Thunder Stock standings heading into this Friday’s event, and recorded yet another top 5 finish last week. Jack Myers of Wainfleet got his second win of the season last Friday, and sits second in the standings, followed by Caledonia drivers Lee Winger, and Mike Thorne, and Port Robinson’s Devin Habiuk.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS
Mike Evers of Caledonia continues to lead the Mini Stock standings, but Dundas driver Karl Sault gained another point last Friday night, and now sits only 9 markers behind. Ohsweken’s Steve Hess is third, followed by the Burlington team of Mike Taylor and Mark Czuba, and Hamilton’s Jason Lungaro.

PIERCED PARTS BOMBERS
Hamilton’s Max Chechalk is still leading the Bomber standings, but Davey Boughton of Carlisle has slowly crept into the picture lately, and is now only 13 points out of the lead. Hagersville driver Dusty DeBoer got his first feature win last Friday, and now sits third in the standings, followed by Jeremy May of Hamilton, and Ohsweken’s Brady Longboat.
