Four time 360 Nationals Champion, Shane Stewart, headed north of the boarder over the weekend as he piloted the 3G Motorsports machine in Canada at the Ohsweken Speedway and South Buxton Speedway.

Friday night at the Oshweken Speedway, after a long night of racing Stewart lined the Red Line Oil/Media Tile/DDNi machine up in the eight spot after winning his heat race from the sixth spot.

As the green light came on, Stewart quickly slipped into the fifth spot, as his machine seemed to be very strong.

Stewart’s strong run would come to an end on the 10th lap, as he was sidelined with ignition issues.

“It was a long night, that ended up being a frustrating night,” said Stewart. “Our car had plenty of speed, but we had a mag go bad on us.”

Saturday night Stewart and the 3G team headed to the South Buxton Speedway, a first time visit for the Bixby, OK resident.

The two-time Lucas Oil ASCS National Champion was very impressive in his debut at the track, but motor issues from the night before seemed to still hamper him.

Starting in the fourth row, Stewart again had a great start as he worked his way quickly to the front of the field.

Once inside the top five, Shane used some swift moves to get into the second spot as he set his sights on Dustin Daggett.

Stewart was able to reel in the race leader, as the duo put on quite the show for the fans, but at the stripe it was Daggett edging out Stewart, who would settle for the second spot.

“Our engine still wasn’t where it should be on Saturday night,” Stewart explained. “We had a good enough car to win the race, but our engine stumbled at times, and wouldn’t let us clear Dustin Daggett.”

Shane and the 3G Motorsports team would like to thank Red Line Oil, Media Tile, DDNi, XYZ Machine, Gaerte Engines, All Star Performance, KPC Chassis, and SST Shocks for their continued support.

ON TAP: After relaxing at home, Stewart will return to action on Wednesday August 29th at the Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, WA aboard the Kick-It/Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation No.57.
