OSHKOSH, Wisc. (Aug. 27, 2012) – You know you’re on a roll when even triskaidekaphobia can’t slow you down. Bill Balog is on a roll.

Balog won the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Series race at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway Saturday. It was Balog’s 13th IRA victory this season and triskaidekaphobia – the fear of the number 13 – was not in evidence.

Goodyear is the Official Tiremaker for the IRA series, supplying the same selection of tires it offers to most of the other major winged sprint car series in the country.

Balog had more to worry about from Mike Reinke than he did from superstitions. Reinke led the 30-lap race around the 1/3-mile clay oval in the late going but Balog wrested the top spot away with five laps to go and held on to win.

Scott Neitzel finished second, followed by Reinke, Jeremy Schultz and Steve Meyer. The event drew 26 entries.
